Be Bold.

Some things begin quietly.

I'm a scientist. I spend my days in labs, at sinks, washing my hands more times than most people count. I've always loved jewellery, but I have sensitive skin, gold-plated brass would turn my fingers green, silver would tarnish overnight, and everything came with conditions. Take it off before the shower. Don't wear it swimming. Be careful with the hand soap.

I was tired of the conditions. I wanted jewellery I could put on and simply forget I was wearing, until someone asked where it was from.

There was also a time when I couldn't afford the jewellery I wanted. The pieces that caught my eye always seemed to belong to a different version of my life. I know what it feels like to want something beautiful and have to walk past it. That stayed with me. I wanted to build something genuinely well made, genuinely durable, and genuinely within reach, not a compromise, just the real thing, at a price that doesn't make you hesitate.

Jewellery is one of the only things in the world that fits everyone. It doesn't care about your size, your skin tone, your age, or what's happening in your life right now. On the days when very little felt comfortable, the ring on my finger always did.

And then came the cats. Five of them, one litter of rescues, who arrived at exactly the right moment and changed everything. Moichat is named for them,

 moi, me, and chat, cat.

And this is what came next.
